Packers have interest in Browns RB Isaiah Crowell

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Thursday that he has not received any reports that Crowell has been traded to the Browns.

Crowell is the Packers top-rated running back and is the team’s top receiving option this season.

McCarthy said he didn’t hear anything about the Browns trade involving Crowell, who is still unsigned.

McCarthy was asked about the Crowell situation in the team meeting.

“We don’t know that yet,” McCarthy said.

“I would hope we would be able to get a little bit more information from him in the next 24 hours or so.”

The Packers have already dealt with a number of running backs who have become free agents this offseason, including James Starks, Joique Bell and Dalvin Cook.

The Packers are also working on a deal for defensive end David Bakhtiari, who has not been signed by any team.
